What Are Positive Affirmations?
Positive affirmations are basically simple statements that affirm that something is true or that it will be true some time in the future, helping your mind to re-wire its current belief patterns and to make a real change in your life.
At Trinity Affirmations we have three sets of affirmations for each album: Present tense, Future tense and Natural affirmations so that you can choose yourself which set to use depending on the current state of your beliefs (see more at What id on each download link).
How Does It Work?
The simplest explanation is that you can train your mind just like you can train a muscle: by repetition of thoughts related to a certain issue, your mind creates new patterns of thinking and is able to make new beliefs about yourself and the world around you.
These new beliefs can have a direct impact on your life (for example, it’s definitely not the same if you’re convinced that you have what it takes to achieve something, and if you’re full of self-doubts about it) - by changing the way you see things you’re changing your attitude towards them, your behavior and your body language become different and you’re also indirectly influencing the way others perceive you.
In other words, what you think is what you become - and affirmations are a base stone for the change in your thinking to occur.
Another way the affirmations work is to keep you focused on the goal you want to achieve so that your attention doesn’t dissipate. This is another form of brain training which essentially helps your mind to prioritize the issue you’re currently dealing with and to adopt the change more efficiently.
How Long Does It Take Them to Work?
You probably won’t like the answer, but – it depends on several factors. First is the issue in question (raising your self-esteem requires a lot more work than training your mind to wake up earlier). The second factor is the depth and longevity of a belief (it’s not the same if you, say, lost your self-confidence recently or if you’ve been insecure for the most of your life) and finally, it depends a lot on how determined you are to bring about the change in that specific area of your life – people too often give up just before seeing some significant results, and we are hoping to eliminate this factor by enabling you to use the affirmations in the most effortless way possible.
You can however expect to see the first results shortly after you start using the albums – with some albums even after the first session. Again, depending on the issue, you can feel more energetic and driven to take positive action in your life, or you can experience resistance and negativity – which is a sign that affirmations do work, that they have reached the cause of your self-defeating beliefs but that this particular set maybe isn’t right for you (this usually happens if you have misjudged the extension of the gap between your current and desired beliefs, and it most often means that you should try with the future tense affirmations first).
We recommend that you consistently use the albums for at least a week (with minor issues) or three weeks (for more complicated ones), but to continue using it at least once a day for a month or two so that your new positive beliefs become deeply rooted and to ensure that the change you’ve created is permanent. If you grow really accustomed to them, you can use them for the rest of your life as a top up :)
Are the Results Permanent?
If you stick to them long enough yes, the results can be permanent.
Essentially affirmations are helping your mind to create new thought patterns and helping those patterns to strengthen over time. The longer you use the albums, the deeper these new beliefs get imprinted. After a few weeks of consistent use your mind begins to rewire itself - in this stage affirmations work as a support and a way to keep it focused until the moment these new patterns become so strongly imprinted that they’re just as strong as the convictions you had your entire life.
Why Are There Three Different Sets of Affirmations?
Two people with, say, confidence issues can have very different starting points depending on the depth of their negative conviction, so we wanted to give you the choice which will yield the best results: if you think that your current beliefs are very far from those you want to acquire, you can begin with our Future tense track and then build on it with one or both of the other sets (see more at About our tenses).
Also, one set of affirmations may resonate with you personally better than the other two, meaning that it will be more effective and beneficial to you, so we simply wanted you to have the choice.
Do you use subliminal messages, binaural beats or brainwave entrainment?
No. These techniques may be beneficial, but we strongly believe that natural is the way to go with affirmations. Your mind doesn’t normally operate under the influence of binaural beats and brainwave entrainment, so by training it to accept the affirmations the way they would appear “normally” you’re making it easier for your subconscious to continue on its own once the new patterns have been established.
We felt that we had to offer the simplest way for you to enjoy the benefits of affirmations, and carefully chosen and formulated affirmations spoken by a suggestive voice are the most natural way to achieve it.
Is It Completely Effortless?
Listening to the album is completely effortless - just press the Play button and relax. However, in order for the changes to really take effect in your life you need to make a conscious effort to make it so. Affirmations are only an aid, a way to focus your mind on a desired goal - they’re not an instant fix, but if you really want to make a change, then our albums will significantly enhance your ability to achieve it and to reach your goals more quickly and easily.
